Directed by Stewart Copeland, this 2010 documentary tells the story of 70-year-old buckdancing legend Thomas Maupin, who remains one of the greatest old-time dancers in America. Framed between Thomas’ recovery from cancer and his acceptance of a nationally-recognized award, this piece presents a deeply personal look at a folk icon. As well as being a portrait of an artist, Let Your Feet Do The Talkin’ asks the question, “What drives us to perform?” and examines art’s ability to form and to strengthen relationships and to lift us above our circumstances.
